Our Family Story
WestView Accounting & Tax Services Inc. is a family-run business built on dedication, hard work, and the pursuit of a better life.
Our story began in the 1980s when Mirmalik, our father, made the difficult decision to send his brother to Canada first. His goal was to create stability and a new beginning for the family.
His brother worked tirelessly, saving every dollar until he could sponsor Mirmalik, who arrived in British Columbia in 1988.
The mountains reminded him of home, and with his brother, he worked multiple jobs to build a foundation for his family.
Determined to create a better future, Mirmalik worked wherever he could, from delivering newspapers to flipping burgers at A&W. But he quickly realized that this was not the life he wanted for his children.
One day, a friend recognized his natural talent for numbers and encouraged him to explore accounting. Intrigued, he researched the field and enrolled at BCIT, where he began studying accounting.
After completing his studies, Mirmalik wasted no time. With only a short mentorship, he boldly started his own business in 1997, first called A-Plus Accounting.
For over 20 years, he ran the firm from his garage in Surrey, serving the local community with care and precision.
He often shared stories about his long commutes to BCIT, where he would take hours-long transit rides just to ask his professor a few short questions. It was a time before Google or YouTube, when every piece of knowledge had to be earned through persistence and effort.
Fast forward to today, after years of mentorship and training, his sons and nephews now run the business with his guidance and blessing.
They carry forward his values of integrity, service, and dedication, ensuring that WestView Accounting & Tax Services remains a trusted part of the local community.
In 2020, we opened our office in North Vancouver, solidifying our commitment to clients across the Lower Mainland and Surrey.
We are proud to have lived and worked in British Columbia for over 30 years, continuing to serve our community with the same honesty and care that started it all.
